We are so excited to announce Ottawa’s Kathie Kompass as the StorySave teller for 2024. Kathie’s impressive career and impact on the storytelling community make her an excellent choice as a StorySave teller. 

Kathie’s nominator, Colette Laplante, writes: Kathie Kompass is an accomplished teller who is highly respected by her peers. For 39 years, Kathie has been delighting and entertaining us with her stories. She’s developed a marked personal style and has a wonderful body of work that should be kept alive. Kathie has a distinct and unique repertoire of stories filled with sharp, keen, vivid words that create a picture in the listeners mind as the story reveals itself. When she tells us about ordinary people living ordinary lives, she brings the characters to life.
