Storytellers of Canada - Conteurs du Canada is proud to present Building Storytelling Skills ONLINE workshop series
This fall, we've recruited some of Canada's best workshop leaders to help you grow your storytelling skills. Each of the four workshops in this series will guide you through an important aspect of honing your storytelling, from research and development to delivery and audience engagement. Learn virtually with others from across the country!
These workshops are a benefit of membership with Storytellers of Canada - Conteurs du Canada and open to SC-CC members only. Not a member? Join now!
Celebrate StorySave’s 20th Anniversary: StorySave Listening Party
Celebrate StorySave’s 20th Anniversary: StorySave Listening Party
To celebrate StorySave’s 20th anniversary, we are throwing a listening party! We invite you to re-listen and re-consider some of our favorite albums from over the years, and then join us on Zoom to discuss and share your thoughts.
Think of it like a book club- we invite you to listen (or re-listen!) to a selected album, reflect, and then come together to discuss and share your thoughts with others. Each session we will welcome a host who can provide further insight into the artist, the album, and the stories. This program is by donation and facilitated by Storytellers of Canada. Registration is required and meetings are limited to 20 people, first come first serve.
Join us this Fall for the first round of the series with four English albums. We’ll be hosting a series of French parties in early 2023, so stay tuned! Anyone who does not already own the album can purchase a CD through our website, purchase a digital album through Bandcamp, or stream albums through Bandcamp’s website.
Call for proposals Storytellers of Canada - Conteurs du Canada 2023 Conference
Call for proposals
Storytellers of Canada - Conteurs du Canada 2023 Conference May 30 to June 3 in Sudbury, Ontario
The conference theme for 2023 is: "A penny for a thought, a nickel for a story."
In every culture, stories are full of wisdom, and make us reflect on our role, our hopes and our memories. In 2023, we will gather at the centre of the universe, in Sudbury, to share stories from all over the world and spread their beauty around!
We are calling for proposals from experienced professional storytellers for the next SC-CC conference, which will be held in Sudbury, Ontario, from May 30 to June 3, 2023. We are looking for artists to perform in the concerts and also to give Master classes and/or workshops reflecting the diversity inherent to oral tradition. We wish to support storytellers in their efforts to showcase their talents.
