Sad News – Carol Farkas

It is with a lot of sadness that I tell everyone that Carol Farkas passed away on Saturday, October 29th. Carol was passionate about storytelling and devoted much of her time, energy, and stories, (especially Ethiopian tales!) to the storytelling community. She was a fighter and had been battling numerous illnesses, including cancer, for some time. Despite all this, she still continued to participate in many story-telling events.

Described by one as ‘always managing to pull a rabbit out of a hat’ when it came to her illness; she was somehow always coming back with her spirits up and ready to ‘do things’. She finally lost that struggle and will be greatly missed.
