About Bishop’s University
Bishop’s University, Sherbrooke, Québec, is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Abenaki people (the people of the rising sun). We acknowledge their original stewardship of this land and that we are guests on this land. The names of many towns, lakes and rivers in the Eastern Townships are of Abenaki origin.
Bishop’s, founded in 1843, once served a very dense English-speaking population that resided here. Over the years, as that population diminished, the university adapted and now serves as a liberal arts college for a student population that is one quarter French speaking.
Conference locations on Campus
Bandeen Hall will be our home-base for the conference. All meals will take place at the Dewhurst Dining Hall. The residence for conference participants is Paterson Hall, just a few minutes from the dining hall.
The dining hall is a ten-minute walk from Bandeen Hall. If you have accessibility needs or accommodation requests for getting around campus, please let us know when you register.

Transportation from the airport:
There are a number of options…some more expensive than others, but all require allowing extra time.
Buses
Airport > Montreal bus terminal > Sherbrooke bus terminal
Inside the airport, as you exit, there is a kiosque that sells tickets for the 747 bus shuttle to the Montreal bus terminal. The cost is $11 and the travelling time is approximately 45 minutes. https://www.stm.info/en/info/networks/bus-network-and-schedules-enlightened/747-yul-montreal-trudeau-airport-downtown
From the Montreal bus terminal, you can take a Limocar bus. Please make sure to check the bus schedule and book in advance. The Limocar buses do not run past 8:45 p.m. which is an important consideration. Make sure you book express! https://limocar.ca/en/rate/
Once you have arrived at the Sherbrooke bus terminal you are a fifteen minute drive away from Bishop’s. You can arrange for a taxi or Uber, or you can let us know in advance of your arrival time and, depending on availability, a volunteer driver may be able to come and pick you up. The Sherbrooke #2 bus line also runs this route. https://www.sts.qc.ca/horaire/ligne-2/
Aeronavette Shuttle
The Aeronavette Shuttle offers service from the Montreal airport to Sherbrooke. Individuals can book seats on existing shuttles or groups charter can express shuttles for up to 11 passengers. The shuttle can be booked for one-way or round-trip.
If you book an individual seat, there may be delays and extra stops added to your route.
If you book a charter, you must have 11 passengers. If you have less than 11 passengers, the price remains the same. The price for a one-way shuttle is $1199 + tax one-way, or roundtrip $1672 + tax.
