Conference 2024 Concerts

There will be two bilingual concerts at this year’s Conference. All artist biographies can be found here.

Tickets to both concerts are included in the full conference and guests registration packages. Single tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.

Lay your Soul in Fireweed / Couche ton âme dans les roseaux

Friday July 12th from 7:30 - 9:00 pm

Bandeen Hall (Bishop’s University), 2600 College St, Sherbrooke, Quebec

Hosted and directed by Jacques Falquet, this evening will leave you with the feeling that all is right with the world. Featuring storytellers Marie Lupien Durocher, Pearl-Ann Gooding, Camille Deslauriers Ménard, Rachel Muller, Stephanie Beneteau and Yolaine. Music from France Thibault and Laurent Hubert.

Please note that stories will be performed in their original language with no translation. Jacques will be providing a brief synopsis of each story in its alternate language.

Special Presentations concert

Saturday July 13th from 7:30 – 9:00 pm

Bandeen Hall (Bishop’s University), 2600 College St, Sherbrooke, Quebec

We have the presentation of this year’s Emerging Tellers. These new voices will have experienced mentoring from professional tellers over a period of four months, culminating in their performances at the 2024 conference. This award helps to bring fresh energy to our roster of storytellers each year.

We will end the evening with the presentation of the Storykeeper Award... the perfect follow-up to the emerging tellers. The big reveal will take place that evening and the recipient of the award will have time to both accept the award and provide the listeners with a twenty-minute performance.
