  • Fort No. 1 National Historic Site tour – Free for conference attendees
The year 1865 marked the beginning of the building of a series of three forts in Lévis to protect Québec City from a potential American ground attack. Today, Fort No. 1 is the last British witness of this line of defence. At the top of the  ramparts, a promontory offers a stunning view of the Québec region and the St. Lawrence River. Welcome within our walls!

  • A.C. Davie Shipyard national historical site of Canada - Free for conference attendees / $5 each for non attendees
On the banks of the St. Lawrence River, immerse yourself in the history of one of  the most famous Quebec shipyards, in operation from 1832 to 1989. In June 2015, we will inaugurate a completely new exhibition. You'll discover an important page of Lévis maritime history in a fun and interactive way, and learn about the history of the concomitant railway.

The River on one side, with Old Québec in the background; century-old heritage homes on the other. Explore the heart of this district on foot, and discover a bunch of great places: authentic ice-cream parlours, coffee shops, bakeries, and  restaurants.

  • Notre-Dame-de-Lévis church, the congregational chapel and the Maison Alphonse Desjardins -  Free for conference attendees / $5 each for non attendees
Built in 1850-1851, Notre-Dame church is a neo-classical architectural masterpiece, classified as a historic monument. Maison Alphonse-Desjardins was the family home of the founder of the North American cooperation. It was between these walls that the project to found the first savings and credit cooperative in North America was developed.

  • Old Québec - Free for conference attendees / $10 each for non attendees
A historic tour to discover the architecture of the area, significant historical events and a brief history of Québec through some local heritage sites, such as the Château Frontenac, the Citadel, the Royal 22nd Regiment Museum, the basilica of Notre-Dame, the Fortifications, the Old Port and Place Royale, and other exclusive locations.

  • Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site of Canada - $85 pp (including transportation, lunch and guided tour)
Located in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, Grosse Île was a quarantine station for the Port of Québec from 1832 to 1937. At the time, the island was the main point of entry for immigrants coming to Canada. You will be touched by the story of Grosse Île, a witness to both human tragedy and exceptional dedication.
