Workshop Descriptions
Join the group in a creative adventure, using the theme of origin. For experienced and beginner storytellers, each participant will bring a significant item linked with his or her primary desire to tell stories. Starting with this item and through a series of exercises, we will bring out an emotion that will become matter for a story. Going through different points of view, we will question the fundamentals of storytelling.
Historical Stories - GOLDIE SPENCER
Do you have a historical story you want to write? This workshop will provide you with ways in which you can bring historical events to life in your own words. Starting with the generating of ideas, then researching your topic, you will learn how to weave these uncovered facts so they blend in seamlessly as part of your story.
Storytelling For Beginners - CLARA DUGAS
Participants will be given activities whereby they can work on their voice, their body language and finally work on telling a short story

Join this workshop to learn the ins and outs of the most popular social media platforms. We'll cover strategy, persona, time management and advantages/disadvantages. Also, learn how to use your storytelling skills for social media success! This workshop will help you move your platform to the next level, form a realistic action plan and address any concerns you may have.
Oral Storytelling and Radio: (Re)producing the Wonder - DAVID MERLEAU
Let's fuse the Magic of Radio and the Wonder of Storytelling. Learn how every member can contribute to SC-CC Radio and explore the wisdom of radio greats while we study your "One Minute Story." Storytelling thus transcend the individual, and even the production of a society. Folktales are original because it registers itself in a tradition, this extraordinary vehicle that crosses frontiers in space and time.
