Call for Proposals: World Storytelling Day
The 2017 World Storytelling Day theme is “TRANSFORMATION”

Call for PROJECT PROPOSALS
SC-CC members or member groups may apply for funds to support a storytelling event on or near World Storytelling Day (20 March 2017). A total of $2,000 is available for 2017 with grants of up to $500 to be awarded.
These storytelling events celebrating World Storytelling Day are to promote the art of storytelling and to raise the profile of the Storytellers of Canada/Conteurs du Canada.
Successful applicants will be asked to acknowledge SC-CC during the event and in all publicity leading up to the event, using SC-CC and Canada Council logo guidelines. A report of the activity must also be submitted to SC-CC within one month following the event for publication on the SC-CC website and in the SC-CC newsletter, “Tell-All/Dis Tout”.
Criteria considered in selection of successful projects will include
- impact on community; promotion of storytelling as an art form
- presentation and description of the project
- clarity of the communication/publicity plan
- budget
- originality of the idea and connection to the World Storytelling Day theme
