Hear the stories about how some of the most famous gospel songs came to be written and performed and then hear the songs.

This is a storytelling and music show about the world’s most famous gospel music.  “It’s No Secret” these stories will have you “Crying in the Chapel” and calling down that “Amazing Grace!”

Dipping into the emotional and cultural stream of the gospel tradition, Marva Blackmore tells the stories behind the music that inspired the Christian faithful during the golden age of radio.  With baritone Brian Lecky, Marva brings these tales to life through compelling stories, music and song.

Last year the very popular storytelling series, Tales for the Telling, at the McMillan Arts Centre presented this show to a sold-out audience.  Many people who had to be turned away asked for another performance.  Many people who saw the show asked for another performance.

Back by popular demand, this show is an enjoyable experience and the audience is encouraged to join in the singing.  Marva and Brian will be performing this show in Ottawa in May at the National Arts Centre and have taken the opportunity to add some new songs to the show.

Don't miss this opportunity to see it!
