It is a pleasure to announce our 2016-2017 season. We were uncertain we would continue this season; however, the McMillan Arts Centre (MAC) has now come on as a full partner with Tales for the Telling making this season a reality. It is also brings some exciting changes outlined below.
First, let me tell you about our upcoming season:

Muller November 18: Seven Cities of Love: Tales Told in Desert Tents featuring Ariel Balevi from Toronto, ON January 13, 2017: Jarring Events and Daring Deeds: Stories Shared Around the Kitchen Table featuring Jennifer Ferris and Shirley Routliffe of Victoria, BC February 17: The Wideness & Wonder of Georgia O'Keeffe featuring Margaret Murphy of Nanaimo, BC March 17: The Changing World: Celebrating World Storytelling Day featuring members of The Storytellers of Canada April 28: Lovers and Other Demons: Woven Words of Odin's Daughtersfeaturing Karen Gummo of Calgary, AB and Faye Mogensen of Victoria, BC
As an added bonus this season, if you missed Turn Your Radio On: Gospel Music in Story and Song, a special presentation of this show which was sold out twice at the MAC and played to a capacity crowd at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa will be held inQualicum Bay at the Lighthouse Community Centre on November 5, 2016. We shall again be offering our Season Pass. Purchase six shows and you get the sixth show free. The exciting announcement is that the MAC is including the Folk Music and Jazz concerts in the "Pick Six" package. If you can't attend all of the Tales storytelling events, you will be welcome to choose from other events happening at the MAC during the 2016-2017 season. Tickets this year are $15 per show ($12 for Arts Centre members) Season Passes are $75 ($60 for Arts Centre members) We have new refreshments this year provided by Realm Food Company which include gluten-free brownies and stone broth for a small charge.

As a partner the MAC has asked to have access to the Tales for the Telling e-mail list. Soon you will receive another e-mail from the MAC asking if you would like to be on their e-mail list. They will now be handling all publicity and e-mails for Tales for the Telling. If you wish to have the MAC e-mail you about their events or only about storytelling events, you will be given an opportunity to indicate your choice in that e-mail. Welcome to a wonderful new year.
