It is with a heavy heart we share the news that storytellerCathryn Fairlee of Cotati, California, has died. According to her family,she passed peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 13, 2019.

Cathryn was recently honored at the National Storytelling Summitearlier this year with NSN's International Storybridge Oracle Award, for herexemplary work, dedication, and spirit, building bridges through storytellingwith travel and research through China, India, and Uzbekistan.

In California, she was a tireless advocate for traditionalstorytelling, encouraging tellers to learn and tell epic myths and legends ofworld cultures, through events like Myth Off and her semi-annual Epic Days.
