Theresa Thorsen

Theresa Thorsen is a Cree-Metis from Muskoday First Nation located within Treaty Six territory. She earned her bachelor of Education degree from SUNTEP Saskatoon(2004), a Masters of Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan (2013) in the area of Critical Environmental, anti-racist.anti-oppresive Education and is currently enrolled in the Indigenous Education Doctoral program with Gabriel Dumont Institute in partnership with University of Regina. Nurtured by the stories passed down from her mom, Elder Bente Huntley,Theresa continues her lineage by stepping into her role as a storyteller. Throughout her life, Theresa has had the privilege of learning alongside numerous Elders and Knowledge Keepers. Over her twenty years in Education, she has sought to honour their teachings by integrating Indigenous Worldview into the public education system.
