Diane Boudreau
Born in Quebec to a military family, with roots in northern New Brunswick, I spent much of my early life moving between places before settling in Alberta in 1970. Here, I've pursued my passion for the arts, earning a Visual Arts diploma from Grant MacEwan, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta.
My life has been shaped by a deep curiosity and love for creative expression and connection. I find joy in reading, writing, traveling, teaching children, dance, and Salish weaving (twining). I work as a meditation coach, fiber and multimedia artist, and small business owner specializing in antiques and collectibles in the small village of Irma.
While I am gradually moving toward retirement, I’m not quite ready to 'go golfing' just yet. Recently, through my friend Pearl Ann, I began exploring oral storytelling and discovered a strong ancestral thread of storytellers in my lineage. It’s a practice I enjoy, and one I hope to expand as I transition into the next chapter of my life.
