Ronald Richards
Ron Richards retired in 2010 from his career as a mathematician, mostly at Sir Wilfred Grenfell College (now the Grenfell Campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland) in Corner Brook. He has always had an interest in traditional tales, and became involved in the Canadian storytelling community though his wife Elinor Benjamin. Although he does not consider himself a storyteller he will spin a yarn when called upon. He has helped SC-CC in a number of capacities, leading to assuming the presidency. Aside from the telling of tales, Ron is a passionate Scottish Country Dancer, and arranged for a dance performance at the annual SC-CC conference in Fredericton.
