Ntombizodwa Gxowa-Dlayedwa

I am a storyteller from South Africa. My native language is IsiXhose, the language of Nelson Mandela. My second language is English. I am a teacher, a lecturer, researcher, mother and grandmother.  I am trained as a linguist.

I am the director and founder of the NGO, Sithembiso Sabakhulayo Foundation (SSF). The name of the foundation translates as "Promise for the Growing Ones".  We work with special needs children, grooming them to reach their full potential. They are the future leaders of South Africa.

I tell stories to children, ages 5 to 10, who are enrolled in the early grades of school. These sessions included song, dance, and cultural values that help them develop their their literacy skills.
