Natasha Charles’ first storytelling performance was at 6 years old, recounting Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr. Fox to her mom. Entering the realm of the Toronto Storytelling scene in 2014, she learnt the storytelling art by listening to the top storytellers in this community. You will find her telling at various city events and has told in two Storyfire events. Having been raised in Trinidad on creepy island tales, she favours fairy-tales, myths, and folklore, preferably with dark twisted edges and trickster characters you meet in your dreams… or worst nightmares. Her story collection includes the cache of Trinidad’s mythical denizens, tales from ancient Near and Middle Eastern civilizations, and cat tales, lots of cat tales.
