Anne’s bilingual career spans 30 years of performing, teaching, studying, speaking and consulting. She discovered string figures as a child and has developed them into an art form, integrating “cat’s cradle” shapes into her stories. Today, Anne travels the globe with her performances that highlight string figures as vehicles for literacy, creativity, and community-building. In 2015 she drove 25,000 km to perform for 45,000 children across western Canada. In 2016 she toured BC, Ireland, Chile, Argentina, Nova Scotia and Ontario. Anne emphasizes simplicity in performance and in life, and leaves audiences in a merry tangle of string wherever she goes. While much of her work is with young audiences, Anne adapts her program to any age and loves to work with adults, too.
