An A to Z guide useful for quick reference information on the myths of the British and Ireland. The entries include gods, heroes and heroines, saints and other central characters. Each is categorized by Irish, Arthurian, Celtic, Legendary, Romano-British, Scottish, Welsh or some other identifying classification.

There are also categories for Greek, Norse and Roman characters who influenced the islands mythology at the time of invasions. Frigga, for instance, the Norse goddess of clouds and the wife of Odin, is said in some sources to have had seven children who founded seven Saxon kingdoms in England.

Not a comprehensive source, by any means, but a handy reference for a quick overview. .Includes a bibliographv with 191 entries.
