Summer Workshops from Community Works Manitoba
Two exciting summer workshops from Community Works Manitoba!
AT THE HEART OF THE MATTER: Meeting in the Story Circle
An in-person digital storytelling workshop
“It was a joy to witness how the process invited what I can only name ‘poetry’ to arise from undiscovered places within us and take shape in the world. It was like witnessing birth. Amazing!” - Workshop Participant
In this 3-day workshop skilled and experienced facilitators will support you as you explore an important first-person story, and experiment with creative ways of bringing your story to life through words, images, sound and music.

AT THE HEART OF THE MATTER:
Let Justice Roll - An online digital storytelling workshop
“The stories shared in Community Works' storytelling workshops take a little space in my heart, reminding me of what matters most in life.”- Workshop Participant
As we listen to the news and directly experience the realities of violence and injustice that flood our world daily, it is easy to retreat into apathy or despair. Yet we know that where injustice lives, so too live resistance and resilience, along with hope and love. In this workshop, participants will explore first person stories about injustice and our efforts to heal ourselves and our communities from its impacts.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Health and social service workers and service users, educators and students, artists and elders, and anyone who understands that we all have stories that are waiting to be told, and that the stories we tell from our own lives matter.
