Call for proposals Storytellers of Canada - Conteurs du Canada 2023 Conference
The conference theme for 2023 is: "A penny for a thought, a nickel for a story."
In every culture, stories are full of wisdom, and make us reflect on our role, our hopes and our memories. In 2023, we will gather at the centre of the universe, in Sudbury, to share stories from all over the world and spread their beauty around!
We are calling for proposals from experienced professional storytellers for the next SC-CC conference, which will be held in Sudbury, Ontario, from May 30 to June 3, 2023. We are looking for artists to perform in the concerts and also to give Master classes and/or workshops reflecting the diversity inherent to oral tradition. We wish to support storytellers in their efforts to showcase their talents.
We're planning two shows: a storytelling concert featuring one or more artists, and a music - and possibly dance - show.
You can submit your proposals in French or in English. We encourage you to submit bilingual concert and workshop proposals.
We will review all received proposals, but only a few will be selected. All applicants will be informed of our decision by December 15, 2022.
Deadline for receiving proposals is Thursday, September 22, 2022.
