The mandate of Storytellers of Canada states: “We are devoted to connecting people, reflecting culture and inspiring discovery through the art of storytelling.” Storytelling Orillia takes that message to heart, with stories from the heart, at several story circles and events during the year. 

Bob Graham has come up with an exciting new way to connect through stories, and Telling Tuesday was launched in Orillia on Oct. 18th, 2016. Telling Tuesday returns this fall, on October 3, 2017!

The idea of Telling Tuesday, similar to Music Monday, is to eventually have storytelling happening across Canada on one day each fall, with storytellers visiting a location of their choice in return for audience feedback (provided by e-mail or on paper). We suggest Tellers select stories that suit the venue.If any storytellers would like to have an opportunity to thank their local community for their support, perhaps you could participate and pick a venue close to your heart? A location could be found at a school but also a church, seniors’ residence, youth group, etc. Smiles can be created anywhere a story is delivered!
