Storytellers of Canada/Conteurs du Canada (SC-CC) is a national arts service organization representing professional storytellers across Canada. To learn more about SC-CC and how we promote the art of storytelling for professional tellers and for listeners as well, visit www.storytellers-conteurs.ca
Since 2002, StorySave has been recording the voices of Elders from the Canadian storytelling community. Those voices are then made available to listeners world-wide as part of a living legacy through our website, production and sale of CDs and downloads and through SC-CC’s online podcasts.
For 2018, SC-CC is pleased and honoured to announce Louise Profeit-LeBlanc as our next StorySave artist. Louise will be recording stories passed down to her from mentors and elders of the Nacho Nyak Dun First Nation of Mayo, Yukon. She is an active volunteer member of Storytellers of Canada serving on the Indigenous Advisory Council and brings wisdom and energy to SC-CC’s actions towards reconciliation and building relationships between Indigenous and non Indigenous storytellers across Canada.
We look forward to welcoming you to this evening of story!
