It is with great sadness we inform you that Mary-Eileen McClear is gone. She had been suffering from pancreatic cancer.

Released now from pain, she orchestrated an elegant death, and was surrounded by loving family and music.

This was a woman whom we loved and admired: talented, intelligent, gifted in countless ways, not the  least of which as a storyteller. She was kind and sensitive and generous and gracious. She was innumerable other good things as well, all of which will be dearly missed.

Her going is a diminishment in the world.
