Call for proposals: Sydney International Storytelling Conference

Australian Storytellers invite you to come 'Down Under!'

After a number of years without gathering in person to enjoy our Sydney International Storytelling Conference due to Covid, the Australian Storytellers are once again looking forward to welcoming storytellers from around the world to join in with the celebration, education, networking, and playfulness that will take place at the 'Weaving Stories Together - Sydney International Storytelling Conference'  June 2-4, 2023.
  • The planning committee is putting out a call to all who have a passion for the art and practice of Oral Storytelling to put in a proposal for a workshop and/or performance and/or poster for the Conference. Theme ‘Giving Voice to Our Stories’.
  • Submission forms and information can be found at our website: www.australianstorytellers.org.au/conference
  • Closing date for submissions: Workshops - Wed 21st Dec 2022, Performance - Wed 18th January 2023, Posters - Wed 5th April 2023.
  • If you are interested don't hesitate to put your submissions in early.
  • Perhaps you just wish to come as a participant. Start planning now.
  • We are looking forward to the gathering of storytellers in person for a nourishing, and playful weekend that focuses on the development of storytelling skills and networking.
  • We have previously welcomed people from countries in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australasia, the Pacific Islands and the Americas. This has enabled us to enjoy and experience international cultural exchange and celebration of different styles of storytelling.
