"Rivers of Voices, Ocean of Stories: Coming Together" Conference 2022

May 26 *NEW* Consultations

One-on-One Consultations/Coaching

*NEW for Conference 2022. Consultations will be offered in English only*

We have three featured tellers attending the Conference and delivering Masterclasses:

  • Elizabeth Ellis/Loren Niemi:  Inviting the Wolf In: Telling Difficult Stories

  • Noa Baum: Stories Old and New:  A Path to Healing and Resilience

If you would like to have time with either any of these storytellers, one-on-one, to work with a story or discuss specific issues, they are making themselves available on Thursday, May 26, for those consultations/coaching.

The cost is $100 per hour to meet with any one of these storytellers.

If you would like to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity, please contact the Conference Organizer at conference2022@storytellers-conteurs.ca.

Provide the name of the storyteller you would like to meet with. Also, if you are planning to do any of the other activities suggested for that day, please let the organizer know so the schedule can accommodate both of you. The consultations will start at 9:00 a.m. and will last until 4:00 p.m. with time taken out for a lunch break.

Once you have agreed to the details for the consultation, you must send your payment to SC-CC. We will provide you the details for payment, either by PayPal or by sending an e-transfer.

All three of these storytellers offer consultations and are skilled at helping you be your best.

  • Whether crafting oral or written material for publication or performance, Loren Niemi can help you find your voice and shape it expressively for your audience. He knows when to push and when to pull back, when to encourage and when to challenge. He helps your story assume the shape you want it to be.

  • Noa Baum teaches people to create engaging narratives that move people to action. Learn how to communicate your message and create powerful stories to get your message across. She creates a warm and accepting environment and encourages you to find your strengths.

  • A nurturing and empowering story coach, Elizabeth Ellis helps you take your storytelling to a higher level. She provides a safe place and supportive environment to experiment and hone your work and grow your craft. As one participant said, “I would walk barefoot, uphill, on hot tar for a chance to learn from Elizabeth.”

A note from the Conference Director:

I have taken workshops, in-person and on-line from all three of these coaches and would highly recommend any one of them. Don’t miss this opportunity while you are at Conference 2022. –Marva K. Blackmore
