SC-CC Conference 2018 July 4-July 8
L'honneur de l'un est l'honneur de tous
SC-CC is pleased to announce Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, as the location for our next conference to be held July 4-8 2018. Peterborough County is a beautiful part of Ontario located on the traditional territory of the Mississauga Anishnaabe in the territory covered by the Williams Treaty.
With leadership of the SC-CC’s Indigenous Advisory Council and cultural advisors from the First Peoples House of Learning at Trent University and Curve Lake Cultural Centre, an exciting program is being developed.
Tentative scheduling will involve conference registration components* and options for separate tickets.
Wednesday July 4 2018
-Master class options over the day with lunch; bus shuttle to downtown or Trent Canal cruise for dinner options
Thursday July 5 2018
-Local fieldtrip options, StorySave-Radio launch* dinner and later French concert option
Friday July 6 2018
-Conference official opening*, key note*, lunch*, workshops*, dinner*, and later concert*, and campfire telling
Saturday July 7 2018
-AGM part one*, focus groups*, lunch*, workshops*, dinner* and later concert*
Sunday July 8 2018
-AGM part two*, gatherings and formal closing* ending with lunch*
Trent University has comfortable, accessible facilities with accommodations in the same building as conference and offers a bed and breakfast option in single rooms with a double bed, shared full washroom between every two rooms, air conditioning and free wifi.
