SC-CC is pleased to announce Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario, as the location for our next conference to be held July 4th - 8th, 2018. Trent University is located on the traditional territory of the Mississauga Anishinaabe covered by the Williams Treaty. 

We acknowledge the leadership of the SC-CC’s Indigenous Advisory Council and cultural advisors from the First Peoples House of Learning at Trent University and Curve Lake Cultural Centre behind development of the conference’s program.

Official start of Conference 2018 is 5pm Thursday July 5 to closing with luncheon Sunday July 8, with a keynote speech by author, playwright, and humorist, Drew Hayden Taylor on Friday July 6.

Early Bird Member Price is $300; after May 1: $350 for members and $375 for non-members.

New ticket one-day option: We are now offering a special one day pass for  conference events on Friday July 6! $150 to $175 gets you into the Key Note Address by special guest, and award-winning writer Drew Hayden Taylor; afternoon workshop attendance; lunch and dinner; and evening performances and events!  Get day passes through our Eventbrite page here.

Conference 2018 Package Thursday July 5 - Sunday July 8 includes:
workshops, meeting Elders, sunrise ceremonies, professional training, networking, story swaps, campfires, gatherings, three concerts, a BBQ, buffet, and an Indigenous Feast! Meals and refreshments are all included. Members are also invited to attend the Annual General Meeting on mornings of July 7 and 8.

Guest Passes are also available for $150:
The Guest Pass includes the Thursday StorySave-Radio launch, Drew Hayden Taylor's keynote speech, and 3 dinners, 3 concerts, and the Sunday luncheon.

Four Choices of 5 hour Masterclasses - Wednesday July 4 [$150 per person, lunch and refreshments included. To register for Master Class only (no conference) please go to our Eventbrite page.

Four Choices of Field Trips to Curve Lake Cultural Centre, Petroglyphs Provincial Park, Canadian Canoe Museum and Lang Pioneer Village - Thursday July 5 [$20 per person includes guide, admission and transportation]

Conference registration also includes admission to three unique storytelling evenings. You can also purchase individual tickets to these events through Eventbrite.
