Angelica entered the magical realm of musical storytelling over 20 years ago. Inspired by the performance of Irish storytelling icon, Alice Kane, and intrigued by the harp, she launched into a career as a Celtic harpist, vocalist and storyteller.

Classically trained in voice and on the harp, (she holds a Bachelor of Music from U. of T.), Angelica created a style of performing that weaves the threads of stories together with the strains of the harp, to create a rich musical tapestry. A versatile performer, she is equally at home on the concert stage and in the storyteller’s chair. Her diverse repertoire includes Medieval and Celtic lore, folk tales, and seasonal stories for Christmas and other holidays.

Angelica has recently launched a series of stories, featuring the lives of early sainted women, beginning with St. Brigid of Kildare. These musical odysseys are interspersed with music for harp, flute and voice and have already received great acclaim in Peterborough, Belleville and Campbellford.

Angelica performs as a solo artist, or accompanied by Veronique Kwakkernaat, on flute. She also performs with storytelling partners, Betty Bennett and Rita Grimaldi. Her CD, Aires of Enchantment is an elegant compilation of Celtic tunes, with harp, vocals, flute, oboe and tin whistle.

Angelica has performed widely throughout Ontario and has presented harp and story workshops in Montreal, Windsor, Toronto and at the International Harp Conference in Indiana in 2002. Her past venues include the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Toronto Science Center, Upper Canada Village Folkfest, Art in the Park and the Lilac Festival in Warkworth, Doors Open, Peterborough, and numerous concerts at various churches, schools, seniors homes and other institutions.

Retired from teaching elementary school music, French and drama, Angelica now lives on a large managed forest property with her husband in the Trent Hills area near Campbellford. A lover of nature, her soul now draws inspiration from the natural world around her.
